Marketing Research Resources

Research Tools

Rapid Journal Quality Check - For those who use Google Scholar, Dr. Julian Wichmann built a Chrome browser extension that shows the journal rankings next to each article in your literature searches. Here is his LinkedIn Post announcing his extension: LinkedIn Post.

Google Scholar PDF Reader - A great way to view PDFs of scholarly articles in Chrome. For example, you can click on in-text citations to see the abstract and find the PDF. Here is the Google Scholar Blog post announcing this Chrome browser extension: Blog post.

Econometric Models & Endogeneity

Causal Inference: The Mixtape - Dr. Scott Cunningham provides a free online version of his excellent book on causal inference (e.g., ordinary least squares, regression discontinuity design, staggered difference-in-differences).

Econometrics Academy - A free resource providing step-by-step tutorials on econometric models using Stata, SAS, and R. A basic understanding of statistics and regression analysis is recommended to get the most out of this resource.

Navigating Endogeneity - An informative website that explains endogeneity and various methods to address it.

Difference-in-Differences (DiD) Resources - DiD has recently gained popularity in marketing. Here are some useful resources I have used to understand and apply DiD.
