Prospective Marketing Ph.D. Students
For those interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in Marketing, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Beyond speaking with marketing professors and Ph.D. students, I recommend the following websites as a starting point. These admission guides were written by highly reputable and knowledgeable marketing scholars Dr. Neil Bendle and Dr. Scott Cowley. Also, please email me (kyoo2[at]vols.utk.edu) if you'd like to know more about my own experience or have any related questions.

Marketing Research Productivity
MktBig15 - Dr. Sina Aghaie created this insightful website that ranks universities and authors based on their publications in top marketing journals. The data is available from 2018 to the present. This site might be another useful tool for prospective students deciding which Marketing Ph.D. programs to apply to.
Current Marketing Ph.D. Students
The PhD Journey Slides - Dr. Anatoli Colicev created these resourceful slides for PhD students and junior faculty, providing guidance on research methodologies, publication strategies, and career development. This is his LinkedIn post sharing the slides.
Little Nuggets of Wisdom - The European Marketing Academy (EMAC) has curated over 130 videos featuring insights from 50 leading marketing scholars. The videos are full of tips and perspectives to support you on your Ph.D. journey. I really enjoyed Dr. Pradeep K. Chintagunta's video about continuous learning and Dr. Martin Schreier's video about seeking early feedback.
DocSIG
AMA's Special Interest Group for marketing doctoral students (DocSIG) provides doctoral students opportunities to network and develop their professional skills (e.g., writing, presenting, reviewing).
DocSIG AMA Page - This site compiles all of DocSIG's social media links. In addition, there are directions on how to receive an AMA professional membership discount.
Sign-up for news and updates specifically for marketing doctoral students
Sign-up for ELMAR - This newsletter provides news and activities in the marketing academic community.
Add another Special Interest Group to your AMA account - Joining other SIGs allows you to connect with those with the same research interests (e.g., retail, technology, marketing strategy) and apply for SIG-specific grants/awards.
